Prediction Submissions

Each player must submit their race predictions before qualifying begins. Predictions can be submitted either:

  • Via the form on the website, or
  • By sending them directly to me via WhatsApp if the form isn’t working.

Prediction Deadline

Normal race weekends:
Predictions must be submitted by 10:00pm on Friday night, depending on the race schedule. This means that on some weekends predictions will be due before Practice 3, and on others after Practice 3, you will be notified in advanced.

Sprint race weekends:
Sprint races will not be included in this Mini-League this season.

A predictions reminder will be sent on Friday morning.

Late Submissions

If predictions are received after 10:00pm on the Friday of race week (unless the deadline has been moved in advance):

  • Your prediction from the previous race will be used
  • The Pole Sitter prediction will be excluded
  • Your Bonus Driver will be removed for that race and the following race

Rules Overview

Pole Sitter

Each player predicts the pole sitter for the Sunday race.

If the driver who sets pole receives a penalty and does not start from pole position, the points will instead go to the driver who starts the race from pole.

Points awarded: 10

Race Predictions

Players predict the top 6 finishing drivers.

Points are awarded as follows:

  • 15 points for each driver predicted in the correct position
  • 5 points for each correct driver but in the wrong position (within the top 6)

Example:
If you predict Alonso to finish 3rd and he finishes 6th, you receive 5 points.

Driver Of The Day

Predict the driver of the day as voted by the public and recorded by the FIA

Points awarded: 10

Fastest Lap

Predict the driver who will set the fastest lap of the race.

Points awarded: 10

DNFs

Predict the total number of drivers who fail to finish (DNF).

Points awarded: 10

DNF results will be taken from the official FIA race classification.

Rules:

  • A driver must start the race to be classified as a DNF.
  • A DSQ (Disqualification) WILL now count as a DNF.

DRS

Each player has three DRS activations for the entire season.

When used, your Bonus Driver points for that race will be doubled.

Usage limits:

  • 1st DRS must be used between Miami & Great Britain
  • 2nd DRS must be used between Belgium & Azerbaijan
  • 3rd DRS must be used between Singaore & Abu Dhabi

If each DRS is not used by its section deadline, it is lost, it does not carry over.

Additional rules:

  • DRS cannot be activated until Round 4 – Miami
  • Only Bonus Driver points will be doubled when DRS is used.

Results & Scoring Updates

I will aim to post the scores as soon as possible after I have watched the race.

However, results may sometimes need to be amended later depending on FIA steward decisions.

Any FIA changes made after midnight on Sunday will not be updated.

The goal is to have all predictions displayed online before qualifying begins. Once the submission deadline has passed, all predictions will be visible for everyone to view as soon as i possibly can.

Race results will be taken from the official FIA website.

Most results will be uploaded on race day, but occasionally this may happen on Monday if the race has not yet been watched. Updates will be posted in the WhatsApp group.

WhatsApp Group

⚠️ The WhatsApp group WILL contain spoilers.

If you have not watched the race and want to avoid spoilers, do not open the chat until you’ve seen it.

If you need to contact me directly, please do not include spoilers, as I may not have watched the race yet.

The WhatsApp group is meant to be fun and light-hearted, so please do not take any banter personally.

Bonus Driver

After each race, your Bonus Driver points equal that driver’s finishing position.

Example:

If Bottas is your Bonus Driver and he finishes 16th, you receive 16 bonus points.

If DRS is used, these points will be doubled.

Next Race Bonus Driver

Your Bonus Driver for the next race will be based on your finishing position in the current race.

Example:

  • If you finish 4th, your Bonus Driver for the next race will be the driver who finished 4th in that race.

Ideally, you want your Bonus Driver to finish as low as possible.

Additional Bonus Driver Rules

  • Any driver classified as DNF or DSQ earns 25 bonus points
  • The driver must be recorded as starting the race to earn bonus points
  • Bonus Driver points are included in DRS doubling

Official Results

All scoring and classifications will be based on the official results published by the FIA.
